Success at the Slovenian Young Physicists Tournament (SiYPT) – Congratulations to Our Students!
15. 2. 2025On February 12, 2024, our school had the honor of organizing the Slovenian Young Physicists Tournament (SiYPT). This competition serves as the national pre-stage to the International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT), a globally recognized contest that challenges students to apply their physics knowledge to real-world problems.
We are incredibly proud to announce that our two students achieved outstanding results, securing both 1st and 2nd place! Their dedication, problem-solving skills, and scientific inquiry truly set them apart.
While this year’s SiYPT had a limited number of participants, the competition maintained its high academic standards, as it was assessed by an expert jury from the Faculty of Physics at the University of Ljubljana. The participating students not only showcased their impressive projects but also received valuable feedback on how to refine and enhance their work for upcoming stages of the tournament.
What’s Next? The journey doesn’t stop here! Our students will now prepare for the Austrian Young Physicists Tournament (AYPT), the next step on the path to the International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT). With the insights gained at SiYPT, they are well-equipped to further develop their research and presentation skills.
A huge thank you to all participants for their hard work and enthusiasm, and to the jury members for their expertise and valuable guidance. These competitions are not just about winning but also about learning, collaboration, and fostering a deeper love for physics.
